Most people beyond the age of say... twenty-five, won't read anything of real substance.  So, this piece, as provocative and revealing as it is, will go unnoticed by a great many second-hander of our society.

But I thought you told me not to ask questions, Ed?

You know...
This was a REAL BAD article to introduce to this group.
We'll all be accusing each other of one or more of the stupid reasons listed in the article.

Like that shit about "the fallacies".
Did you know that nearly all arguments can be found fallacious using that list?

Ahh the joys of rhetoric and debate.

You don’t really think that do you?  Well if you knew everyone over the age of 25 you wouldn’t say such things. you seem to be the guy they are talking about in that article

First, of course I think that.  Recite the name of the President of The United States in your head once, then rethink my statement.

Second, I'll offer proof for my hypothosis, I would enjoy your counter arguement.

The only person I can think of in my immediate family, without thinking too hard on the issue, that may have read something of relative imporatance in the last few months is my wife.

So, what have you read lately Smokin'?

"you seem to be the guy they are talking about in that article"

-Based on what precisely?  This statement makes very little sense as I am defending an uncertian point with little care as to the outcome.  I have no vested interest in what you may or may not think most of adult America does.  I have very little faith in the collective intellegence of let's say MOST of the people in this country.  If you had read the article in it's entirety, you would not have made that statement, unless your not intellegent?  So which is it?  Did we not read the article, or did we not understand the context?

Speak up.

Yes and no.  I just thought that was really funny at the time.

More ironic, than just funny for funnies sake.

It is amusing though that Smokin' got all butt-hurt when I posted that most people over school age don't read anything of consequence.  BUT, instead of proving me wrong, or offering evidence to the contrary, he went for the predictable lowest common denominator of character assault.  That's Ok though, I am arrogant...

So Smokin' read anything good lately?
