I'm off meat for good now since I no longer even have cravings for it (including fish) but that is a personal choice that has more to do with health and the disgusting practices of the meat indusrty than it does with animal rights. Say, Reefer... What's your take on vivisection? I've never agreed with it on a technical and scientific basis. I say we'd get more accurate data (and less newly adaptable diseases) if we experimented on criminals instead. It would also give them a way to work off their debt to society. Even though I do beleive in the humanitarian aspects of animal rights, those are not the only... nor the most compelling arguments. PETA is it's own worst enemy. Wait, whoa, wait, whoa!  You just came out and advocated vivisection on human criminals, but you cringed and convulsed when I suggested that we could save a hell of a lot of space in the prisons by keeping the bad folks in a medically induced and maintained coma, no yards to play ball, lift weights, kill one another in, no riots, no gangs, no drug traffic, no rape just acres of small tubs where the slumbering scum of the earth would float out there sentences in total tranquilty, ugh eww no way, lets chop them up for science...I think you need your neck bolts tightend.... On a more wonderous note.  I truly dig the P-shop job you did on the Jack-o thing, perfect. You are about the LAST person to talk about prisoners in such respects. Look at the laws you break daily. Just because you haven't been caught yet. One slip and you'll be next to the very thugs you're talking about. We choose which rules to obey and disobey constantly. So what happens when it's you in the cell? Seriously wondering about that. What's going to happen to your theories of prisoner treatment when you're among them? You and I know the system is fucked. You and I know there are a few bad Cops out there and we could very well end up on the wrong side of one some day. I want to see you stare down a man who's stabbed more people than you've touched and tell him your theories of prisoners and rights. You are quite frankly talking out your ass. Cops, criminals, me, you, Smokin', The Pope... No fucking difference. Each one of us does what we feel is just... And some of us have been known to do an injustice or two in a bad moment. Why the hell do you think the Radical Muslims are willing to go to such extremes? They see no other option. It's easy and more palatable to separate ourselves from them and give the whole thing an alien quality. It's the same bullshit attitude that those WASPy elitists use to believe they are better than you and I. It's just because they haven't had to put up with the same shit we have. Any person in our shoes would be just as messed in the head. Why not pretend for a moment that you are a desperate criminal who has done something stupid like rob the place you work for. The plan goes wrong and you're staring down the barrel of an officer's gun with a bag-full of cash that doesn't belong to you. What's your next move? Do you simply explain to him that you aren't a scumbag and that you are in a very complex way entitled to the money you are stealing? Or do you save that for the Judge?
